This review is about who your website brings in. We went through the site and your search rankings. The main finding: your best result, 5th place for "electric company near me", is split across two versions of your own web address, one gets the ranking and the traffic, the other gets nothing for the identical search. You've also already built proper Solar Panels and EV Chargers pages, well titled and sensible, and neither one shows up in Google's results at all yet. It's all detailed below, with what to do about each one.
Your website works two ways: typing laoiselectrical.ie sends a visitor straight on to www.laoiselectrical.ie, and the site itself has told Google that the www version is the correct one to trust. Despite that, Google's own numbers show the opposite of what you'd expect from that setup.
| What people Google | People / month | Your situation | |
|---|---|---|---|
| electric company near me | 110 | 5th on laoiselectrical.ie. Your only real traffic comes from here. | 5th |
| electric company near me | 110 | 25th on www.laoiselectrical.ie, the address the site says is the right one. | 25th |
| electrical shops portlaoise | 260 | 31st. | 31st |
| portlaoise auto electrical | 170 | 14th, but no traffic recorded yet. | 14th |
| electrician athlone | 110 | 54th. | 54th |
This kind of split usually happens when the forwarding between the two addresses gets set up after Google has already started ranking the site under the old one. Google is now getting a mixed message: one address is being pointed to as the correct one, but the real ranking strength is still sitting on the other. Until that gets sorted out, your best result keeps losing half its value to an address almost nobody actually lands on.
The site itself is not broken, and you've clearly put real thought into it: sensible page titles, a proper reviews page, and specific counties named on the homepage. What's holding the numbers back is a technical mix-up between your two addresses, and pages that exist but aren't yet strong enough to win their searches. Both are fixable without touching how the site looks.
Your Commercial Electrician page currently reads "Laoisaois" in its title instead of "Laois". You won't see this on the page itself, it's the title tag, the text that shows in the browser tab and in your Google listing, not the page content. Open /commercial-electrician and look at the tab at the top of your browser, or the page's SEO title setting in Wix, and you'll see it. Small, but it's the kind of thing worth a two minute fix.
Each fix below is ready to hand to whoever manages the site.
Start at the top. The bottom block is the work that moves the numbers.
Here's the number worth sitting with. The searches already tracked on this page add up to around 650 people a month, and right now your best result among them is being split between two addresses instead of working as one. That's before counting anyone searching for solar panels or EV chargers in Laois specifically, since your dedicated pages for those don't show up in Google's results at all yet, which means there's currently no way to even count how many of those searches you're missing. You know how many enquiries turn into a job for you, and what a job is worth. That's the sum worth doing on your side.
Your keyword count fell from seven to six this month. A small ranking that's currently splitting itself in two is easier to recover than one Google has already started to drop altogether. The longer the address split runs, the more of that 5th-place result is at risk of being lost rather than simply divided.
